Here are the first pictures of the Volkswagen Golf 5`s successor, a car that I could hardly call a be model. Rather a very pronounced face lift.

In fact, we aren’t sure that this model will be called Golf 6, because the German manufacturer didn’t want to give this first photos and information to the press for another two days. But today, we got our hands on this images and we show them to you in premiere.

The new parts of this model are the optical blocks, that look the same as the ones from Scirocco in the front, and like the Touareg in the back, exactly as you could see 4 or 5 months ago in the spy-shots of this new model.

The side strongly reminds of the current generation, and the interior is quite significantly revised, because it is mostly inspired from the Scirocco. Also, the 3-door model of the Golf 6 looks like a Scirocco on steroids. But, if we consider the past, Volkswagen Golf was not based on the design,  so that the aesthetic solution chosen by the German manufacturer may prove to be successful.

The sales will begin in November, with super-charged engines from the TSI, TFSI and TDI series. The future Volkswagen Golf GTI will come in 2009 with a 2.0 TFSI engine, with 240 HP, so that the Golf R32 to pe put in motion by the Audi S3 engine, that will develop almost 280 HP.
