The future generation Volkswagen Golf GTI 6 will be put in motion by a 2.0 litre super-charged engine , which will also replace the old V6 of the R32 version.

According to sources inside Volkswagen, the future of GTI will receive an extra power of 11 HP, through the use of the new 2.0 litre turbo EA888 engine , equiped with the “variable valve-lift” system, developed by Audi.Also, the engine`s archtecture has been improved, with an easier access to the turbo and the oil intercooler so that maintenance will be cheaper.

On the outside fo the car, the future GTI will be distinguished through the wideest body-kit, the 18 and 19 inch rims and the optical lights with Audi style LEDs.As regards the R32 version, it turns into GTI-R, by replacing the old V6 on grounds of ecology with a 2.0 TFSI of 265 HP, found also on the Audi S3.

The new Volkswagen Golf GTI 6 is expected to make appearance at the Paris Auto Show in the form of a concept, so that at the beggining of next year it will hit the market.
