The guys from Seat had launched the 3-door version of the compact car Ibiza at the British Motor Show. Named SportCoupe, the new version wants to be aggressive and elegant, stating this even from it`s title.

The 3-door version of the Seat Ibiza has been launched at the London Auto Show. The SC acronym of this 3-door versions comes from SportCoupe and it will be the first of urban car segment that will be equipped with a new DSG automatic gearbox, with 7 gears - this will be an optional on the 1.6 K and 105 HP engine. The new bodywork version will bring two brand new diesel engines for the Ibiza (1.4 L / 80 HP and 1.9 L / 90 HP), and an all new EcoMotive engine is scheduled for the future. The FR and Cupra sport versions will also be present.

The “sports” version will borrow some visual elements from the “Bocanegra” Concept, and from the 5-door version (that has already been launched at the Madrid Auto Show). The sales of this new 3-door hatch-back will start this autumn. The car will be available in 4 new colors : Furia Grey, Lumina Orange, Galia Blue and Limette Green. This colors will also be available for the inside of the car, thanks to the SEAT personalizationprogram.

We don`t have too much technical details, but we are expecting that the engines will be the same as the ones of the 5-door recently launched version. The little guy will be a 1.2 L, 3 cylinders and 70 Hp, the the middle one a 1.4 L and 85 HP, and the most powerful engine will be a 1.6 L and 102 HP one, new engines been expected soon, especially for the TSI and TFSI ones (that came from VW)
