Opel keeps us guessing and gives us only a few clues about how the next generation Astra will look like.
The guys from Opel showed us today the first teaser images with the sixth-generation Astra, a model which will have it`s debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2009 .
The new Astra will tend towards the premium class, similar strategy as in the case of Opel Insignia. According to sources inside Opel, the new Astra will introduce the new road-sign recognition system, first introduced on the middle class cars, adaptive headlights and many other facilities that are superior to the class of which Astra is originally part of.
Astra will debut initially as a 5-door hatchback, but subsequently the coupe, twin-top and wagon models will be launched. The production of this sixth-generation Astra will begin at the end of 2009 at the compund in Ellesmere Port.
