Nissan will enter the 2010 auto market for small utility vehicles with a model presented for a preview with the NV2500 concept.
The Japanese manufacturer introduced the commercial vehicle concept at the Nissan Technical Center in Farmington Hills.
The new commercial vehicle will be assembled at the Nissan Technical Center, instead of the Nissan Titan Pick-up, and will introduce Nissan in a totally new segment in the U.S. auto-market. This is a part of a complex plan of extending the range of commercial vehicles, included in a global development strategy.
This vehicle series model will be based, like this concept, on a modified version of the Alpha chassis provided by Titan, and will provide Cummins diesel engines and ZF automatic gear boxes, in three equipment versions.
