Toyota Prius will be competing with a brand new Honda. American Honda Motor Vice President, Dick Colliver said to Automotive News that the new car will be a hatchback with five doors that can carry 5 passengers. The Honda Hybrid will be shorter than the Honda Civic Hybrid and even cheaper. The guys from Honda intends to set the price for their new hybrid under the showroom price of Toyota Prius (20,000 dollars - the price for the American market).
The hatchback will be produced in approximately 200,000 units annually, of which half are intended for the American market.
