The pictures below are the first pictures of the Tata Nano, the 2500 euros car, being put together at the Singur plant in West Bengal. According to the company, the car will see the Indian roads by September 15th and they have already instructed the key equipment vendors like Capro Group, JBM Auto, Rucha Engineering and Rasandik Engineering who will supply the core sheet metal to be used on the Nano.

The Nano will feature a 800 cc turbocharged CRDI engine which seems to be the tiniest engine with common rail technology in the world but this won’t be the only engine used on this car. The company declares that FEV, a German engineering and power train firm is currently working on the diesel engine for the diesel version of the Nano which will debut later next year.
