It is official. The X5 and X6 SUV`s will have some brand new “M power” versions by next year.
After several prototypes have been seen on the Nurburgring circuit, the Bavarian manufacturer rushed to affirm that they are just ordinary models in tests, with the V8 and 400 Hp engine.
Now, they had radically changed their view, after the head of BMW M, Ludwig Willisch said for Auto Motor und Sport, that BMW is working on M versions for both the X5 and the X6.
He said ( attention )that the versions are already in tests on the Nurburgring circuit, and both will be launched next year to get on the road as soon as possible.Asked about the possibility of a diesel version for the M series, Willisch said that in the medium term there is no intention to do that.
