According to the Italian magazine Quattroruote, the successor of the current generation Alfa Romeo 159 will be named Giulia and will appear in 2011.

The name of Giulia will be brought back to life thanks to the Italian`s manufacturer plan to replace the current “number-names” with some more personal ones.

At the hearing of such news, Alfa Romeo fans all around the world began to hope that not only the name Giulia will be brought back to life, but maybe the constructive solutions also.Unfortunately, we must announce them that propulsion will not be chosen, preferring full transmission and traction at this time.

This happens because the Italian engineers will use a technical platform derived from the one used for Fiat Bravo and Lancia Delta. As regards the design part, journalists from Quattroroute say that the future middle-class Italian model will go on the style used by Mi.To, with numerous design elements taken from the 8c Competizione.
